The Darlington Hyde Park is located on Sussex Gardens in the Paddington Hyde Park area of London, less than a 5 minute walk from the Heathrow Express terminal at Paddington station. This 40 bedroom former stately Victorian terraced town house conversion offers high standard accommodation with modern facilities, which ensure that the expectations of both business and leisure travellers alike are fully met. The comfort and safety of all guests is of paramount importance to every member of our staff with attention to detail on cleanliness and hygiene combined with high levels of professional customer service, ensuring the Darlington Hyde Park is always an enjoyable stay. The Darlington Hyde Park prides itself on being a strictly non-smoking establishment. All rates advertised are for rooms in the rear of the building.

Hotel Information: Although the Darlington Hyde Park is located in a safe area of London, the hotel has a number of safety measures in place, to further enable you to feel at ease during your stay:

- Entry to the hotel reception and foyer can only be accessible by intercom or an issued key-card.
- Entry to the Hotel rooms and facilities can only be accessible with an issued key-card.
- Key-cards are issued only once checked-in.
- All issued key-cards are time-related to check-out times and do not give an indication of the hotel or room number to which they belong.

Discreet CCTV security cameras are positioned near all entrances and exits to the hotel, allowing 24-hour monitoring.

Every bedroom has a double locked front door and in-room safe for personal valuables.

Room Information: All rooms are basically furnished and provide the following facilities: TV, telephone, alarm clock/wake-up service, central heating and free Wi-Fi internet access. Most rooms have private shower and toilet.

Please note that the picture in the photograph is just one of the many different type of rooms we have - it is one of the twin rooms with private shower/toilet.

Food & Beverage: Breakfast is served every morning in our fresh and lively hotel conservatory, where guests may help themselves to the continental buffet and order one of our famous freshly cooked traditional hot English breakfasts. Breakfast is served between 07:00 and 09:00 (during Monday to Friday) and between 08:00 and 10:00 (at weekends).

Our continental buffet has an array of cereals, fresh fruits, juices and yoghurts to choose from. With mini-rolls and toast with mixed fruit jams and fresh percolated coffee or English tea.

Our famous English breakfast consists of English sausage, bacon, eggs with grilled tomatoes and butter boiled mushrooms, all freshly cooked to order.

With the conservatory only open for morning breakfast, our reception staff will be only too delighted to advise and recommend a number of restaurants and bars that are only a few minutes walk away from the hotel.

Alternatively, room service meals can be ordered and delivered to the hotel to enable guests an evening meal in their rooms.

Guests can enjoy a selection of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, which are available on request from our 24-hour staffed reception.

Area Information: Hyde Park (0 km/ 0 miles) - Largest Park in London, leading through to Kensington Gardens and Kensington Palace. Site of the Albert Memorial and opposite the Royal Albert Hall.

Oxford Street (1 km/ 0.62 miles) - Famous London shopping area leading on to Bond Street and Regent Street and then a short walk away from Covent Garden.

Buckingham Palace (2 km/ 1.2 miles) - Short walk through Hyde Park to see the changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace, the royal residence. A short bus ride takes you to The Tower of London.

London Eye (4 km/ 2.5 miles) - The World's tallest observation wheel gives spectacular views over London. Opposite Houses of Parliament and Big Ben and a short walk from the Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

Travel Information: The Darlington Hyde Park is ideally located less than a 5- minute walk from Lancaster Gate Station (Central Line) and Paddington Station, which is the home of the Heathrow Express.

The Heathrow Express is the fastest, most secure and reliable form of transportation to and from Heathrow Airport, with services running every 15minutes with a journey time of 15 minutes.

The hotel is located north of Hyde Park, halfway between Edgeware Road and Lancaster Gate, giving easy access to M1, M4 and M40 motorways.

Parking in London can be difficult, and we advise guests not to bring their cars into central London. If this is unavoidable, you can use the single yellow line on Sussex Gardens between the hours of 07:00 and 20:00. (Your vehicle will be towed outside these times.) There are also 2 NCP car parks nearby and can charge anywhere up to 37 GBP per 24 hours or 5 GBP per hour.

Be aware that London council has now introduced a congestion charge for every vehicle entering the congestion zone to prevent traffic conditions in the city centre. The Darlington Hyde Park is now in this congestion zone area as of 01 February 2007.
