The Camden Lock Hotel is situated in one of the trendiest places: London's Camden Town. The hotel is real value-for-money, quality accommodation in the heart of London! No lift.
Madame Tussaud's, Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus are all very close and by using the bus or the Underground you can reach them in about 15- 20 minutes at most. Camden Town has a large international feel to it, with Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and Greek restaurants and bars all within walking distance of the hotel. This multinational culture makes the surrounding area one of the trendiest in London.
Hotel Information: If you decide to bring the car anyway you can use a secure parking area (not included) which is within 5 minutes from the hotel.
Room Information: All of our 91 rooms have been renovated recently and are equipped with all the modern facilities you need such as free internet access, flat screen television with movie on demand, free coffee and tea facilities, telephone, a desk and a compact bathroom with shower.
The diversity of room types in this historical building is unique; cosy double rooms; fancy superior rooms or theme room (at a small supplement) and family rooms; we have it all!
The maximum occupancy for our twin, double and superior rooms is 2 adults, our family rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children.
Requests or comments which are entered in the remarks field are always on request and can only be confirmed by one of our employees.
Smoking is prohibited in the entire hotel, we kindly request you to take this into account. For smoking on the hotels premises you will be charged a 50 euro fine.
Food & Beverage: The Vermont Restaurant (located in the hotel) serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Vermont Restaurant provides an enjoyable atmosphere and a cosy, relaxed bar. Several dishes from all over America are served at the hotel by enthusiastic staff. While preparing these dishes, our chef only uses fresh ingredients. For this reason, these dishes fit perfectly in a balanced diet, for guests who prefer a healthy way of life. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 06:30 until 23:00.
Conferences - We make your meeting easy. Whether you are planning a training course for 10 people, a prestigious banquet for 300 or a festive reception for 450 guests, the Holiday Inn Amsterdam has the facilities, expertise and efficient personnel to make your gathering a complete success. Each of our handsomely decorated function rooms has individually controlled air conditioning, as well as telephone, television and modem connections and are therefore extremely suitable for meetings, conferences, receptions, dinner and more. The Maine Room is often used for national and international conferences. We can arrange anything you need, from flip chart to audio visual aids or floral centrepieces to champagne and photographs.
Area Information: The hotel is close to the Amstelpark, a golf course and a centre for tennis and squash.
The nearest public transport station "Rai" has frequent connections to Amsterdam City Centre, Albert Cuyp Market, Anne Frank Museum, Dam Square, Flower Market, Gassan Diamonds, Heineken Brewery, Holland Casino, Madame Tussaud's Amsterdam, Red Light District, Van Gogh Museum and Rijksumuseum.

Travel Information: By underground: The nearest underground station is Chalk Farm (on the Northern line, Edgware Branch). We are approximately 1 minute's walk from the station. When you come out of the station turn left and you will be able to see the hotel. The entrance is in Crogsland Road. BY ROAD: FROM THE NORTH: From the M1 take the North Circular Eastbound A406, then follow the signs towards Swiss Cottage (Finchley Road). Once at Swiss Cottage, turn left towards Chalk Farm and Camden Town onto Adelaide Road. When you reach the end of the road you come onto Chalk Farm Road. You can see the hotel from there, but as it is on a one-way system, you need to take the 2nd left. At the traffic lights turn left and then left again into Crogsland Road - the hotel is at the end of the road just before the traffic lights, on the left-hand side. FROM THE SOUTH: Join the M25 clockwise towards Heathrow, then join the M1 and follow the route as above. FROM THE EAST: Join the M25 and travel anti-clockwise, then join the M1 and follow the route from the North. PARKING: Free parking is available from 6.30pm - 8.30am. Monday to Friday meter parking during the day is charged at 1.00 pound for 50 minutes. Daily parking is 9.50 GBP for 24 hour secure parking (Camden Town Parking) on weekends, free parking is available in certain areas - please ask at reception for more information.
