Occupying a prestigious location in the heart of the Eternal City, on Via Veneto, the hotel is just steps away from the Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese, Trevi Fountain, and Via Condotti, with its fashionable boutiques.

The Champs Elysee or Fifth Avenue of Rome, Via Veneto is the ideal location to explore this enchanting city. Established in 1889, the hotel still continues to be the home-away-from-home for many celebrities and political figures, and is recognised for having a reputation of impeccable standards and service.

During your stay you can enjoy a relaxing lunch or an afternoon tea at the La Ninfa Bar & Brasserie, which also offers all-day dining and a cocktail bar. In the evening, opt for the best Mediterranean cuisine at La Ninfa Gourmet Restaurant, either on the terrace overlooking Via Veneto or in the room inside.

Rooms are approximately 27-37 square metres in size. Deluxe Rooms interconnect with other Deluxe and Superior rooms.

Junior Suites:
The hotel has 8 junior suites, each with a King-size bed or twin beds, and all with views of Via Veneto. Suites are very spacious and well appointed with either hardwood floors and carpeting. A Jr. Suite is 44-61 square metres in size.

Area Information: In the roaring 1950's, Via Veneto reflected the glamour of the Dolce Vita, with cafès where people sat all day hoping to be either photographed or discovered, and with the elegant shopping haunts of Hollywood-on-the-Tiber.

The cafès are still there, as are most of the nice shops, the new feature is a row of glass-enclosed outdoor restaurant areas.

At the top end of Via Veneto you will see the monumental Aurelian Walls that have surrounded Rome for 17 centuries. When the Aurelian Walls were built, during the last quarter of the 3rd Century AD, Rome's decline had already started. For the several centuries before that, Rome's protective barrier had been at the outer edges of the Empire: Germany, Syria and Northern England (where Hadrian's Wall in still today an imposing sight like the Wall of China).

In the last quarter of the 19th century, the Ludovisi princes took advantage of the real estate boom to carve up their huge estate into the upper middle class blocks you see today. They laid out a new boulevard, Via Veneto, with a wide curve to help the carriage horses make it up the hill from the Piazza of their neighbours, the Barberini. The last vestiges of the Ludovisi family (descended from Pope Gregory XV) are the Casino dell'Aurora among the trees high above Via Aurora, and the original Villa Ludovisi hidden behind Palazzo Margherita, the American Embassy.

Shopping on Via Veneto can be summed up in three words: leather, jewelry and fashion. These shops are interspersed with many of Rome's best hotels and coffee bars.
