Most tourists use major Greek airports to get to their vacation destination. The rail network of Greece is limited and trains are usually slow but cheap. There is no railway service on the islands. Bus is a better way to get around as Greece has an extensive road network. Some important parts of the country are connected with toll motorways. Road signs are written in both Greek and Latin letters. Ferry lines connect the mainland with the islands and there are ferries avaiable to Italy and Turkey as well.
