How to Get to Lima, Peru
Lima is the capital of Peru and is the leading international entry point to Peru as well as to other Andean nations. Callao is a major port in Lima, where all the ships halt and is located about 15 kms to the west of Lima. Once in Callao, you can take a taxi or hire a car service to take you there.
Reaching Lima by Road: Lima is well-connected by the Pan-American Highway that runs along the entire length of Peru, from north to south. It links Arequipa, Nazca, and Tumbes in Ecuador as well as La Paz in Bolivia to Puno, a Peruvian city. From here you can take a coach service to reach Lima. Similarly Lima is connected with other South American cities by bus services.
