Travel in New Zealand
The first thing you'll hear on touchdown in New Zealand is 'Kia Ora' - quite the welcome to an amazing country.

Despite being split into North and South Islands, there's no question of deciding which is best. Whether it's the bustling Northland city of Auckland contrasted with the adventure capital of Queenstown in the South, or the magic of the Milford Sound compared with the stunning Bay of Islands in the North, there's incredible natural splendour both North and South. And with the country so far away from the UK, there's a chance to stopover in some of the world's most exciting cities like Los Angeles or even a tropical retreat in Fiji or the Cook Islands.

Once you arrive in New Zealand you're met with a wealth of travel options. Many companies offer both self-drive and escorted tours around the country, and both are great options – it just depends on what is right for you. With a host of natural wonders and incredible cultural highlights, one thing's for certain – you will be in constant awe of this incredible country. Whether it's chilling out with a traditional Hangi feast on the beach or jet boating on the mighty Haast River, New Zealand really has it all.

People travel to New Zealand for a variety of reasons, but they come back for the charming, laid-back hospitality and the friendly locals. And those locals aren't just the rugby players of the future! We're talking whales, the incredible Kokako bird, and a whole host of other marine wildlife. Whale watching is particularly popular, with sperm whales and dusky dolphins often spotted off the coast.

New Zealand walking and cycling holidays are also hugely popular, especially those that traverse the dramatic landscape used as a backdrop for the Lord of the Rings trilogy of movies. And for the connoisseurs and gourmands out there, New Zealand offers a host of wine and food indulgence in the Marlborough region, home to some of the very best Sauvignon Blanc in the world.

With all this on offer plus a whole lot more, take the opportunity to sample the incredible country that is New Zealand.
