American Museum of Natural History – This museum was first opened in 1869 to the public and boasts a planetarium and several interesting exhibits including one on extreme mammals like dinosaurs and a minerals and precious stones exhibit that houses the Star of India, the world’s largest sapphire. Allow half or a full day to see this museum as it is very large.
4. Times Square – Visitors to New York City will enjoy a trip to the exciting Times Square, which is home to several theatres, restaurants, nightclubs and more. It is advisable to visit this particular attraction during the evening as the region has hundreds of neon lights that create an impressive sight. A great way to take in Time Square can in fact to sit in the McDonalds opposite the Tickets booth and with as window seat you are overlooking Time Square. Just being in Time Square is a great experience and this is the location to get your half price Theatre tickets. By buying tickets on the same day from the TKTS booth on 46th Street you can get to see some great live performances affordably.
5. Trump Tower and the IBM building – Tourists are sure to be impressed by this tall and imposing building, which boasts its own waterfall and giant geodes. Visitors can also visit the IBM building which is situated next to Trump Tower, to see its public space that has been landscaped to feature bamboo trees and a river sculpture.
