10 Must do things in New York City
If you happen to be visiting the beautiful and cosmopolitan city of New York, here is a list of ten things that you should not miss out on doing.

1. If visiting New York City, you just cannot afford to miss the 3-hour Full Island cruise which passes by the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island, the United Nations, the George Washington Bridge and Yankee Stadium among others. If time is a constraint, the 2-hour Semi-Circle or Sunset/Harbour Lights Cruise and the 1-hour Seaport Liberty are also excellent options.

2. Home to hundreds of sea animals, the New York Aquarium must be visited, especially by visitors who have children with them. Highlights of this fun filled attraction are performances by Atlantic bottle-nosed dolphins and California sea lions at the Aqua-theatre.

3. The New York Skyride, a short motion-flight-simulation sightseeing tour of New York at the Empire State Building is a must-see and must-do for children and adults.

4. Attend wine-tasting classes that will teach wine lovers everything from how to sample and appreciate a wine to the factors of pairing it with the right cheese. This is a good way to make your holiday to New York not just fun but educational.

5. A ride on the Horse-drawn Carriages at the entrance of the park at 59th Street and Central Park South is something most tourists would love doing. However, at $50 per hour, it is not for everyone.

6. Have a night on the town at one of the many nightclubs in New York City. The city's nocturnal activities are much talked about and are a must attend.

7. New York is full of specialty restaurants serving all sorts of cuisine from French to Japanese, Italian, Indian and Mediterranean to Thai dishes. Visit one of these restaurants to sample your favourite cuisine gourmet style.

8. Go shopping in New York as the city is a paradise for shoppers. New York has a platter of assorted goods to satisfy all tastes, whether it is bric-a-brac from junk sales at flea markets or designer shoes at Prada, luxurious rugs at ABC Carpets, or Department stores like Bloomingdale's, New York city has it all.

9. Watch the Yankees. Visitors should take maximum advantage of a trip to New York between April and October, by ensuring they watch the Yankees at the Yankee Stadium which is second only to the Coliseum in Rome. It is wise to book a ticket in advance.

10. Walking tours and Bike tours are a great way to enjoy the charming city of New York. An experience that can leave you feeling charged, as it combines exercise with fun and allows you to enjoy the freedom of creating your own customized tour of New York.
