When traveling through Louisiana there are numerous options for sightseeing and vacationing but probably the biggest party held is called Mardi Gras and New Orleans hotels gear up for the reveler's invasion six months before the partygoers arrive. Staying Closer To The Mardi Gras Action

Walking from your room to the party is one of the benefits of lodging in the French Quarter, but New Orleans hotels in the Garden District is connected by streetcar rides and shuttle service is available from Metairie hotels for visitors' convenience.
