Family Fun in Myrtle Beach
One of the most beloved vacation destinations for families over the past several decades is Myrtle Beach. It offers something for the whole family, whether they want to relax on the beach, visit one of the great theme parks, or perhaps take in a few rounds of golf. There are limitless vacation opportunities that are sure to make you and your family happy.

The Beach

Of course, the most famous attraction is the beach itself. It spans more than 60 miles, so you can always find a spot on the beach. You can even stay in any of the numerous hotels that are right on the beach so you are never more than a short walk away from the sand and water. There are also plenty of shops and places to grab a quick bite to eat along the beach and the boardwalk.

Myrtle Waves Water Park

Boasting more than thirty slides and attractions as well as more than 1.2 million gallons of water, the Myrtle Waves Water Park is the largest water park in South Carolina. It is the perfect family getaway for those days when you don't want to deal with going to the beach and cleaning sand out of your shoes and shorts.

The Pavilion Nostalgia Park

Although the Pavilion Amusement Park has faded into history, the Pavilion Nostalgia Park offers a chance to relive the glory days by offering a number of classic rides and attractions from the old amusement park.

Hard Rock Park

The world's first rock and roll theme park, the Hard Rock Park, is a recent addition to the Myrtle Beach attractions. If has dozens of musically themed thrill rides, including an Aerosmith roller coaster, as well as shows and concerts by classic bands. Don't forget to checkout Mount RockMore, a sculpture featuring the likenesses of John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, Presley, and Bob Marley, a quartet of rock and roll royalty.

After a day at the beach or having fun at one of the many theme parks in the area, it might be nice to catch one of the many shows that the Myrtle Beach area has to offer. Some of the more popular are the Carolina Opry, Le Grande Cirque at the Palace Theater, and Good Vibrations. There is a show for everyone's different tastes.

If you want to spend some time relaxing on the golf course while vacationing in Myrtle Beach, then you are in luck. There are scores of world-class golf courses in the areas that are sure to delight you. Some of the courses even had accommodations, which means you can stay right at your favorite course and never have to leave!

There is a good reason that Myrtle Beach has retained its popularity for so many years. The attractions change, adapt, and grow along with the nation so there is always something new and fun for every generation to experience. It promises to be a hot vacation spot for many years to come.
