A Guide to the Beaches of Acapulco
When one has an image of what Acapulco looks like, beaches and waves come to mind – and beautiful ones at that. The moment you arrive, you'll see the beaches that you've always seen in Hollywood movies or picture postcards right in front of your very eyes. Acapulco is a water haven such that no matter where you go, you're bound to find a beach within a few minutes distance, whether the inner bay areas or the ones facing the captivating Pacific Ocean.

Pie de la Cuesta – One of the most popular beaches of Acapulco and often referred to as the beach of the sunset, (because of the spectacular views you get when viewing the sunset) this laid-back beach is one worth traveling 6 – 8 miles from the main city for. Surfers are advised to observe the safety flags though as the waves coming in from the Pacific Ocean can be pretty dangerous at times.

Icacos Beach – A favorite amongst the locals and tourists, and one of the more finer beaches of Acapulco, Icacos is located in front of the La Palapa Hotel in the city area. A full range of activities are available here from water skiing to parasailing and canoeing and they even have the whole "Hollywood style" serving of the drinks while you're on your sun chair with a huge umbrella over you.

Condesa Beach – This beautiful beach here has the nick "Paradise beach" for the people that come here, the views you get from here, and the fun you take away as you leave. Full services are offered here just like at Icacos; from the umbrella rentals to the sun chairs and the rentals of jet skis etc. The backdrop of this beautiful beach is lined by some of the city's most known bars and restaurants, so when you're done with your tan and then sun goes down, partying is just one stop away!

Puerto Marques Beach – A calm and serene beach where the crowds are rarely seen and the true vacation feeling comes to the senses. Walk along this white sandy beach and feel as if you've been transported to a whole different part of Acapulco. This place has a very relaxed feel to it, so it's best to come here when you have a day of relaxation instead of rush – to really enjoy this place that is. Great for scuba diving and windsurfing, the calm waters look ever inviting and are considered to be one of the safest waters in Acapulco.
