A Guide to Shopping in Toronto
Shopping in any city requires a certain amount of in-depth research or acquaintance of those with an intimate knowledge of the area. In Toronto, it is necessary to have some knowledge about what the city has to offer, in order to buy the items that it is famous for.

Starting with the local produce, Toronto has a host of markets that sell excellent organic produce, beginning from confectionaries made by hand to handicrafts as well. There is the East York Farmers' Market, the Stonegate Farmer's Market, Serway Garden Farmer's market and Trinity Bellwoods Farmer's Market, among many others that's sell these wares. Cheeses, freshly milled flours and preserves, like jams and jellies fill up carts on display.

Moving on from edibles, there are quite a few shops that have generated a great deal of interest in the past year. One of these is the Tevrow and Chase ladies boutique. The designers are Joseph Mimran and Paul Sinclaire who together create easy, yet fashionable pieces of clothing to fill any woman's wardrobe.

Indiva has a distinct Indian flavour, where the garments are products of the fertile imaginations of prominent Indian designers. This place on Bloor Street is a must-visit if one is looking for some, traditional garments.

If you are looking out for the best bargains, Forever 21 which is a famous showroom in America recently launched in Toronto. The attire on sale here is inspired by ramp collections, and is inexpensive yet, fashionable.

Ladies, and men alike, will rejoice at the launch of Change in Toronto. The well-known Scandinavian lingerie brand sets senses aglow with the exquisite creations displayed in the store.

Shoes are a girl's eternal passion, so Capezio and Davids have become well established in the city, so much so, that they have become a landmark of sorts. The stores stock designer brands like Givenchy and Kate Spade, and casual designer footwear like Steve Madden as well.

It is probably worth a visit to Umbra to catch a glimpse of the huge pink building on the corner between Queen and John streets. The store has a variety of furniture items, designed by figure3, intended to add a little spice to the home décor. A really attractive feature of this store is the option of watching the designers at work.
