South Africa George Golf Club - Beautifully Manicured, 72 par, 18 Hole Course
Situated not far from Fancourt in the beautiful southern Cape, the George Golf club features a picturesque, rolling course, packed with trees. The front nine features only one par-three hole, but the back nine has three of them.

The signature hole is the last of the par-threes, the seventeenth. It's fairly long at up to 181 meters and it places a premium on accuracy, thus it is rated the second-most difficult hole on the inward nine, and the fourth most difficult overall. It is also rated one of the 500 best holes in the world.

Apart from George, only Durban Country Club and the Wild Coast Country Club boast par-three holes in the world's top 500.

The George Golf course is a beautifully manicured, 72 par, 18 hole course, with bent greens, set in the heart of the garden route.

The course rating for men is either 70 (club – 5774m) or 72 (championship – 6100m), while that for the ladies is 72 (5188m).

Visitors are welcome, with the exception of Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, which are reserved for members. No group bookings allowed on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Booking is essential.

Caddies and motorized golf cars are available for hire – golf cars must be booked in advance.

Golfing equipment is for sale in the pro-shop. Golf clubs/trolleys may be hired from the pro-shop.
