A Guide to Dubai for Honeymoon Couples
Dubai is slowly becoming one of the most sought after honeymoon destinations in the world. This city has a lot to offer honeymooners including luxury hotels, beautiful resorts, great shopping and plenty of interesting tourist attractions. Although not the cheapest destination that one might choose, the city does provide luxury and style and the popularity of the venue continues to increase tenfold.

When planning a honeymoon in Dubai, you can choose to opt for a package tour from a travel agency or secure a honeymoon deal from hotels that you are interested in. Hotels in the city range from the ultra-luxurious to the modest and affordable. Couples looking to enjoy the luxury and opulence of this desert city can choose to stay at the iconic Burj al-Arab, a seven-star resort hotel located on the Dubai Coast. Couples looking for more reasonable prices can choose to stay at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel which is a 5 star hotel located near popular Dubai attractions like the Wild Wadi Water Park. The Jumeirah hotel also has its own private beach area.

Honeymooners will likely enter the city through the Dubai International Airport and most travellers who are in possession of a valid passport will be given a 60-day visa upon entry. The airport is very modern in design and is a very welcoming introduction into the city, with its unique, clean and very unique design. Transport from the airport is easy to find although as with any airport worldwide, ensure you use the official taxis and try and avoid exchanging money in the airport because airports rates tend to be higher than in other places.

There are many activities available in the city for honeymooners looking for romance and intimacy. Romantic dinner cruises down the Dubai Creek come highly recommended and couples can also take a hot air balloon ride to watch the sun setting in Dubai's scenic deserts. Another activity popular with many people is to go on a desert tour which is organised with driver and takes you on a wild drive across a part of the desert.

Honeymooners should also take advantage of the great shopping deals in Dubai's shopping centres. The UAE does not collect sales tax, a fact that many shopping enthusiasts frequently take advantage of. The city also has many restaurants that offer luxurious dining in romantic and intimate settings. Couples can also take a romantic stroll around the famous Dubai Fountain, where water shows are held every evening.
