5 Events for Tourists in United Arab Emirates (UAE)
The UAE is the Middle Eastern hub of events and activities related to almost anything and everything of interest and several trade fairs, conferences, exhibitions and events are held here on an annual basis. The number of events in fact being given to the UAE continues to increase and many of these events are of international level. Below a look at some of the most notable, must-see events that are held in the UAE every year.
1. Dubai Shopping Festival - The Dubai Shopping Festival takes place during the months of January and February every year. This is one of the most important events in the city and many tourists from around the world flock to Dubai to shop. Booking flights and arranging your accommodations early is a must, if you want to attend this event.
2. The International Jewellery Show, Dubai - This is the largest jewellery show in the Arab world and as many as 225 exhibitors from all over the world are known to gather to showcase their finest gems and jewellery. The International Jewellery Dubai is usually held at the Dubai International Exhibition Center.
3. Dubai Men's and Women's International Tennis Open - The Dubai Men's and Women's Tennis Open draws the very best tennis athletes and the most passionate tennis enthusiasts from all over the world. The event is usually held during the month of March at the Dubai Tennis Stadium. With the excellent all round weather sitting watching a game at the Open can be a great way to unwind for a day.
4. Dubai Summer Surprises - The Dubai Summer Surprises is the second most important shopping event in Dubai. Activities and events include concerts, sales bargains and raffles. Although a shopping festival may perhaps initially sound strange but this event does gain a lot of attention and attracts a lot of visitors.
5. National Day Festival - The National Day Festival is one of the biggest celebrations in the city and is considered to be one of the grandest events in the region. Activities include large concerts, camel racing, exhibitions and fireworks displays. This is an event enjoyed by both locals and tourists visiting the region and a real cultural insight into the local culture. This is a great event for tourists and worth considering trying to be here for, if you are thinking of a trip to the United Arab Emirates.
