Gran Canaria Water Parks and Nature Attractions for New Visitors
Gran Canaria is one of the Canary Islands and it is located in the Atlantic Ocean. Gran Canaria is a favorite touristic destination for over 2 million people a year, from all around the world and the island is also known as a "Miniature Continent" because of the variety of landscapes and climates on the island.

The main feature of the island is gold sanded beaches and the beautiful clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Besides the extraordinary beaches we can find a number of very popular water and theme parks on the island. Below a look at some of the most popular water and nature attractions in Gran Canaria:

1. Ocean Park - is one of the smallest water parks in Gran Canaria. The water park covers more than 25,000 square meters and it offers more than a dozen unique slides for the visitors. Beside the slides there are a various swimming pools available to the visitors. This water park is easily reachable with regular bus lines from all over the island.

2. Aquasur - is a 130 000 square meters large water park located in Maspalomas. This water park is one of the most popular attractions on Gran Canaria and it offers more than 30 slides and numerous unique side attractions to the visitors. These water attractions include the Surf Beach, Congo River, Kamikaze and the Twister.

3. Palmitos Park - is a perfect location for family visits. Every member of the family both younger and older can find something interesting in this holiday nature park. The park displays over 200 species of birds and other animals.

4. Cocodrilo Park - this park is also known as crocodile park and it displays the biggest collection of crocodiles in Europe. In addition to crocodiles, a number of other animal species are also located in the park.

5. Sioux City - is an amusement park themed around the wild west. You can enjoy the atmosphere of the Wild West with various famous characters from that time like Doc Holiday and many more other interesting characters.

6. Holiday World - is a well visited theme park. This amusement park features traditional fun fair style with a roller coaster, Ferris wheel, shooting range and many more traditional attractions. This park ensures amusement for every member of the family.
