Ski Resorts in Europe
For skiing enthusiasts Ski Resorts in Europe offer a wide choice of resorts. Whether you enjoy skiing, the partying or the natural beauty of the slopes, there are a number of resorts to choose from. The traditional places to visit in France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland have been joined by new resorts in Eastern Europe including Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Romania and Slovenia among others. Here are a few resorts worth considering:

Val d'Isere, France

An established big hitter boasting great facilities, it has one of the largest skiing areas anywhere in the world. English speaking guides can be found, the renowned nightlife means there is something to do day and night.

Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy

A stylish resort that is one of the best, situated in the Dolomite region, it caters for skiers of all abilities. The facilities are excellent and are a favourite among locals keen to get some fresh, clean air. For those that like to be seen and join the fashionable crowd, this is place to visit.

Kitzbühel, Austria

A popular resort that is less than two hours from Munich in Germany. The resort has great character and charm and regardless if you enjoy skiing or the nightlife more it has something for everyone. It also contains some famous mountains that are used in the skiing world cup series.

Kranjska Gora, Slovenia

The up and coming resort of Kranjska gora is one of the better known resorts in eastern europe. It offers excellent value for money compared to the prices charged in western europe. The slopes are suitable for skiiers of all abilities, if you want to go somewhere different, somewhere everyone else has not been to, this could be worth a try.

Borovets, Bulgaria

The moat famous resort in Bulgaria is fast gaining international acclaim. It has great slopes and good quality facilities including luxury hotels, good choice of restaurants and a energetic nightlife. It offers great value for money, has modern equipment and still avoids overcrowding associated with some other resorts.

Ski Resorts based in Europe are facing ever increasing competition from each other and other areas of the world. It is worth shopping around as there are some good deals around.
