Golf in the Algarve

Pestana Vale da Pinta in the Algarve is one of the top courses in Europe and has hosted 8 consecutive times the final of the Seniors Qualifying School. The Pestana Gramacho Course near Carvoeiro in the Algarve was turned into a 18 hole Golf Course with the help of Ronald Freeman and Nick Price (who is a property owner and member of Pestana Golf).
After the success of Pestana Vale da Pinta and Gramacho, an opportunity arose to buy a plot of land in Silves and to build a golf course where once again Pestana innovated by designing the golf course in-house with the experience gathered from the previous two courses, Silves is a course that is able to provide both an enjoyable and challenging game of golf to all handicap levels, it is a parkland course in harmony with the Algarve landscape.
Alvor is one of the friendliest places in the Algarve and has many Pestana Hotels from a 5 star to fantastic beach resorts. The only golf club with full amenities in Alvor is Pestana Alto Golf which came into the Group last September. Since taking over Pestana Alto Golf, the course has had an extreme-makeover; the greens renovated, the trees trimmed, the fairways reseeded, the rough leveled and many other interventions that turned Pestana Alto Golf into one of the crown jewels of Pestana Golf.
