5 Best Nightclubs in Rome for beginners
With thousands of tourists coming in every year, Rome has some of the best nightclubs in the world and these clubs cater for a variety of tastes. Whether you are a student, twenty something or in the older age range, the range of clubs across the city is impressive. Below a look at 5 of my favourite nightclubs in the city.
1. The Piper - This nightclub has been in business for several decades, and has developed a reputation for being one of the most popular nightclubs among tourists and locals. It is situated on the Via Tagliamento in the heart of the city, and has a good ambience and bar. The bar stays open until late and you will see some cool people at this venue.
2. Drunken Ship – This is a very popular nightclub and it gathers a young crowd of locals and tourists. The Drunken Ship is known for its rock music and entertaining atmosphere. The club also hosts happy hours from 7 pm to 9 pm. The design of the club is quite nice and once you have been to this club you’ll be back again. The prices are reasonable and patrons often very friendly and location is good.
3. Gilda - Located in the Via Mario de’ Fiori, the Gilda has two dance floors and a lounge bar area. This club draws an elite crowd of partygoers including politicians, celebrities and sport stars. The Gilda does not accept a casual dress code and male guests are required to wear jackets. Despite the strict dress code, this club is worth trying out if you are in Rome.
4. Bar Del Fico - This bar is one of the trendiest nightclubs spots in Rome. It is popular with Italian celebrities, models and actors and is situated in the Piazza de Fico. If you head to this location, make sure you have a good credit card with you or have a lot of cash on you and enjoy.
5. Metaverso - This nightclub can be found in Testaccio, near the Piazza Navona. The Metaverso is a unique nightclub where the entertainment scene is always changing. On some evenings, the club even features live bands and theatre performances. The atmosphere is comfortable and is a good place to go if you are looking to spend an evening with friends. Of all the five locations listed above, Metaverso this is my favourite place to spend time.
