Berlin's nightlife scene has a reputation as one of the best in Europe. With more than 200 nightclubs, hundreds of bars, pubs and restaurants, travelers in the German capital often find themselves coming back to their Berlin hostels in the early hours of the morning.
Bars and Pubs
Travelers might like to start their night out with a visit to one of the hundreds of cocktail bars in Berlin. With excellent bartenders who will ensure that your cocktail is just right, all you need to do is to order, and enjoy.
Night walks and pub crawls are extremely popular in the city and are a good idea if you are new to Berlin and want to explore all that it has to offer. There are a number of areas perfect for this, including Savignyplatz in Charlottenburg which has a number of good bars and restaurants.
The Hackesche Hofe (literally 'courtyards'), meanwhile, is full of famous venues. There are also other cultural things to enjoy here in the evening, such as theatres, art galleries and cinemas.
Another good place to go on a walk at night is Nikolaiviertel (Nikolai Quarter). Here, traditional Berlin comes to life with old-fashioned taverns and bars dotting the streets.
Music and Clubs
If live music is more your thing, there is plenty to be had in this city famous for inventing new musical trends. From big stars to local unknowns, there is music of all genres available.
To the joy of the hard party-goers, Berlin's nightclubs have no closing hours and are open until the last reveler has decided he or she has had enough! As a result, the city's nightlife is legendary and many people book a hostel in Berlin just to check out the world-famous hedonism.
The best part about a night out in Berlin is that partying in the city is neither raucous nor particularly unsafe, and visitors can feel confident that traveling back to their hostel in the early hours should not be a problem.
