Paris Nightlife
The lovely "City of Love" – Paris is a comely city of France, on the Seine River, in the north-central part of the country. Paris is the capital and the largest city of France. It's the commercial, industrial, and cultural hub of the country.

One of the largest cities in Europe, Paris is the cosmopolitan capital of Europe. The city is the center of international culture, art, fashion, and cuisine. Paris is regarded as a global city with the headquarters of international organizations such as UNESCO, and the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development), and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Paris is one of the most beautiful cities of the world. The city is often dubbed as the "City of Lights" because of its preeminence and beauty. It's not only the city of lights, but also of music, melodies, dance, sound, and revelry. The city is potpourri of fantasies, stunning beauties, romance, love, luxuries, redolences, fashion, fashion clothing, perfume, and jewelry. Widely known for its neo-classical architecture, skyscrapers, apartment complexes, elegant stores and hotels, theaters, museums and galleries, beautiful locations, and active nightlife, the city is a coveted tourist destination pulling over 30 million foreign visitors every year.

Paris is a great entertainment center having fantastic opera houses, theatre and concert halls, dancehalls and discotheques, and cinemas. Opéra Garnier and Opera Bastille are two great opera houses, and Bobino, Théâtre Mogador and the Théâtre de la Gaîté-Montparnasse are the top theatres.
Paris offers one of the peppiest nightlifes in the world. The city goes wild and zippy during nights. The city is full of posh pubs, lush bars, lavish nightclubs, and gourmet restaurants that get extremely crowded during night. Unrestrained bar-cafes, high-tech dance clubs, and mellow jazz electrify the mood of the crowd. Cabaret venues throw lavish doses of vibrant entertainment.

Paris promises a treasure of nighttime entertainment for both men and women mostly in the Marais neighborhood. Marais, in the heart of the city, offers plenty of bars, chic cafes and surprisingly active gay and lesbian scene. Pigalle is the seedy sex centre of Paris. It's also home to some good music venues. Moulin Rouge cabaret, 82 boulevard Clichy, 18th, is place where the cancan is still performed. Some of the vibrant gay bars include the Coffe Shop, 3 rue Ste-Croix-de-la-Bretonnerie, and Amnesia, 42 rue Vieille-du-Temple, 4th.

Young club-goers can have a nice time out along rue de Oberkampf (a street overflowing with bars), and the Bastille area courts during nights. Bastille is stuffed with plenty of colorful small bars, popular clubs and pubs, and offers one of the liveliest night actions. Ménilmontant boasts an increasingly sophisticated and eclectic nightlife scene. It's a nice place for the people wanting to enjoy a night out with the style crowd. The Champs-Elysées is bit expensive, but offers a real feast of night fun. The place is hot popular among tourists. Buddha Bar at 8 bis rue Boissy d'Anglas, 8th, offers night fun in typical Asian flavor. It's nice place for people watching. Café Charbon 109 rue Oberkampf, 11th, is one of the most popular bars. Le Mecano, Bar 99 rue Oberkampf, 11th, is a nice bar with a grungy feel.

Techno, house, garage and Latino are the popular sounds of Paris. Le Queen, 102 avenue des Champs-Elysées, 8th, a gay club is one of the best clubs in Paris. It's the city's top choice for dance and the city's best venue to groove. Located in the Pigalle district, at 75 rue des Martyrs, 18th, Le Divan du Monde offers nice doses of brazilian, tango, indie, rock, house, hip hop nights, and top French and international DJs. Le Saint, 7 rue St-Séverin, 5th, is inexpensive and good choice for disco, house and salsa. Les Bains Douches, 7 rue du Bourg-l'Abbé, 3rd, a former Turkish bathhouse transformed into club. Boasting a wide range of musical styles, the Batofar, 11 quai Francois-Mauriac, 13th, is a club housed in a boat on the Seine. Le Divan du Monde hosts intimate pop concerts. Le Bilboquet, 13 rue St-Benoît, 6th, offers live jazz played by local and international high-calibre musicians. There is no admission charge, but drinks are available for about €20. Situated just off avenue des Champs-Elysées, Chesterfield Café, 124 rue La Boétie, 8th, hosts US rock and blues bands. La Flèche d'Or, 102 bis rue de Bagnolet, 20th, offers a terrific treat of live music and alternative ambience. The Opus Jazz and Blues Restaurant, 167 quai Valmy, 10th, offers good food and a nice selection of music.

Minimum legal age for drinking alcohol (beer and wine) is 16 years and 18 years for stronger drinks and spirits. Average price of a drink in Paris is €4; the price can vary from place to place. Bars are usually licensed until 1 am, and clubs open around 11 pm and remain open till dawn. Admission prices (usually around €15-20) often include one free.
