Brittany is a peninsula located in the north-western part of France which is a magnificent place to visit. It is a home of rich French history, Located in between the English Channel to the north and the Bay of Biscay to the south.
It is a home to many megalithic monuments, which can be seen along the peninsula. They are believed to have been constructed in the Neolithic era; an era of revolution in human technology bringing the birth of the use of stones as tools. The megalithic is described as a structure made of large stones, utilizing an interlocking system without the use of mortar or cement. The monuments are a magnificent view.
Brittany is a place of numerous forts in particular the walled city of Saint-Malo which is one of the eye catching structures that has attracted many from different places to come and tour and get a glimpse of this beautiful city.
The coastal line of Brittany leaves one in amazement with its naturally coloured rocks. It is a home of special pink rocks, which are one of a kind and a rare breed to be found anywhere, research says these rocks can only be found in two other places in the world which are Corsica and China.
Because of its landscape and beautiful scenery Brittany has attracted many artists who have come to borrow ideas for their next big piece of art.
The city has a state of the art train service that connects it with the neighbouring cities. It also has ferries that cruise on the sea to ease transportation. Saint-Brieuc airport is the landing place for flights from the nearby cities and countries bringing many to this beautiful city.
Brittany remains to be a place that one ought to visit and see for him/herself, explanation in itself is not enough but a bird's eye view would leave one desiring for more of what Brittany has to offer.
