Holidays on the Cote d'Azur
Cote d'Azur commonly known as the French Riviera is located in the southeastern part of France, situated on the Mediterranean coastline, a home to one of the first modern resorts that was first a health resort in the 18th century but later upgrade with time. Its 115 kilometers of coastline and beaches make it an attractive place for many tourists to come and spend their vacation, not to mention that it is a major yachting center with marinas along its coast. This sport has attracted different people from near and far.

Cote d'Azur has a rich history that dates back to the prehistoric time, the era of the Stone Age. An era distinguished by the development of the first stone tools, which covers roughly 99% of human technological history which would make Cote d'Azur a great place to visit and see the ancient revealed in the modern. Stone monuments from the Bronze Age can be found near Draguignan, while in the Valley of Marvels (Vallee des Merveilles) near Mount B├ęgo, at 6,600 ft elevation, is believed to have been an outdoor religious sanctuary, harboring over 40,000 drawings of people and animals from the ancient times.

Cote d'Azur has many places of interest, like the La Ciotat, which is one of the cities with an artificial sand beach that was created due to geographical nature of the city on rocky side. The beach is located downtown and is at walking distance from local market, the shipyards and the main bus station. The beach faces the magnificent Alps Mountains on one side and the uphill commercial area on the other side. Most hotels, restaurants and bars in La Ciotat are located on the same street making all things centralized for one to visit and stay. Other places include Sanary-sur-Mer, Toulon, Hyeres, Saint-Tropez, and Sainte-Maxime, all located on the coastline of Cote d'Azur and must see places for all.

Cote d'Azur has a Mediterranean climate with sunny, hot, dry summers, with maximum temperatures being 30 °C and mild winter temperatures, which are moderated by the Mediterranean.

Several events take place in Cote d'Azur like the Monte-Carlo Automobile Rally, the Monaco Formula One Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival and the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo, just to mention few remarkable events that make it an eventful place all year round.

The largest city is Nice-Cote d'Azur, which is home to the third busiest airport in France. Nice-Cote d'Azur Airport makes it possible for travelers all around the world to get an opportunity to visit this spectaculars place, that gives you room to discover the undiscovered, memories that can never be erased.
