Rajasthan by Train
The most famous is the luxury train Palace on Wheels. This regal train requires regular maintenance to preserve the same opulence and splendor as of the palaces of erstwhile Maharajas. (Hence it does not operate in May, June, July and August)

The Palace on Wheels

Palace on Wheels takes you on a wonderful and charming royal journey through the long-gone era of the Maharajas. On board you will feel the enchantment of royal Rajasthan and incredible Agra. Each saloon has special attendants called Khidmatgars, who are there to lend a helping hand, should you need something. There are two Dining Cars in Palace on Wheels. A bar-cum-lounge car & four service cars. Fresh food is cooked in an onboard kitchen. The train also has a small library, mini-gym & beauty parlor. The Palace on wheels is fully air-conditioned and has delicious luxuries hidden in every nook and cranny.

The Fairy Queen

The other famous train of Rajasthan is The Fairy Queen. The Fairy Queen train finds mention in the "Guinness Book of World Records" as the oldest running steam locomotive in the world. The Fairy Queen provides a relaxing weekend trip between Delhi and Alwar It the reaches the charming town of Alwar in Rajasthan the same day, from there the guests are taken to Sariska Tiger Reserve for an overnight stay.
